As much confusion as with uterine tumors

Fibroids or myomas are the most common tumors in the uterus in women of childbearing age. This tumor is caused by excessive and abnormal growth of uterine muscles. About 20 percent of women over the age of 30 suffer from this problem. Fibroids are a type of benign tumor, not cancerous or dangerous.

However, due to two problems need proper treatment. One. This can lead to excessive menstruation and anemia. Two, it is considered as one of the leading causes of infertility.

This idea may not always apply to everyone. Because 25 percent of fibroid tumors do not cause any problem for life. In most cases, the symptoms are more or less excessive bleeding or irregular menstruation or feeling heavy in the lower abdomen.

In 28 to 40 percent of cases, it can only lead to infertility if the following events occur:

1. If the uterus becomes too large due to fibroids, II. Due to the increase in the number of blood vessels in the inner wall of the uterus, the fetus cannot grow properly, 3. The tumor is located at the junction of the uterus and fallopian tubes or in a place that prevents the fetus from stabilizing.

People with problems such as infertility or recurrent miscarriages should have other causes of infertility, even if they have fibroids. Because, the main problem may not be fibroids. Myomectomy surgically removes the fibroids from the uterine wall and sews them again. The uterus does not need to be cut. At present this surgery is performed either by cutting or perforating the abdomen. However, whether surgery is needed or not, it is important to know some things.

Such as: 1. This surgery can cause a lot of bleeding. In 20 to 25 percent of cases, a decision may be made to remove the uterus during surgery. 2. The chances of getting fibroids again after surgery are 10 to 15 percent. 3. The chances of getting pregnant after surgery are 40 to 60 percent. It depends on the number, size and success of the fibroid tumor. If you become pregnant after fibroid surgery, you must give birth in a hospital with good facilities
